A quick look at Faith Healing (don’t judge a post by its title)

Mark 11:24 (HCSB)
“Therefore I tell you, all the things you pray and ask for — believe that you have received them, and you will have them.”‬‬

I know what you’re thinking. “Here it is, he’s gonna tell me if I have enough faith, I can be healed or get rich.”

Nope. First of all, I’m still not physically healed from the stroke I had at age 2, so I won’t preach faith healing. But at the same time, I will. Faith doesn’t usually heal people physically, but it is a mandatory factor in spiritual healing: justification (getting right with God) and sanctification (looking like God).

The key to overcoming sin is by believing. Jesus died on the cross. If a person has placed his/her faith in Jesus, then Jesus’ death applies to his/her sin too. It is crucified on the cross, and the Christian is a new creation, with a new heart and new desires.

If you want to beat sin, believe that justification and sanctification are yours in Christ, believe that you never again have to give in to temptation again, and live in such a way that showcases that belief.

If this is your strategy, the battle won’t always be victorious, but there will be much more victory than defeat.

Come, Lord Jesus!

In this with you.

Solo Deo Gloria
Solis Christus
Sola Fide
